An early start saw the AKS U13 girls travel to Newcastle upon Tyne for the quarter-finals of the National Hockey Competition. The team started brightly, seizing the initiative and taking an early lead.

Dame Allan's, however, responded with determination, battling back to equalise and making it 2-2. Both teams traded goals in a thrilling first half, going into the break level at 3-3.

In the second half, AKS showcased grit, determination, and excellent communication, demonstrating superb teamwork throughout. Dame Allan's, though, came out strong, capitalising on two counter-attacks to take the lead.

The game ended in a hard-fought 5-3 loss for AKS. It was a fabulous end-to-end match, filled with positives and invaluable experience for the AKS girls. A fantastic effort from all involved!
