A very tough day of rugby 7s, with some excellent rugby schools posing an excellent challenge for our boys. Some high quality rugby on display allowing for many coaching and development opportunities.

AKS 5 v Bury GS 20

Positives were some excellent tackles in the last line of defence, keeping our connections and keeping our shape better in the second half. We improved our linking from the first half, where we struggled to keep our line in a dynamic environment. Onto the next match.

AKS 5 v Manchester GS 35

Too many missed tackles saw MGS run in quite a few tries. We found it difficult to find space and difficult to take away theirs.

AKS 5 v Bolton 40

Many small opportunities went begging, as we did not stick to our game plan, stepping in and congesting (and stifling!) our own attack. Missed tackles again a factor. Looking for a big improvement in the last game.

AKS 5 v Altrincham 10

Some more positive points here, with many more running opportunities, though we still struggled to find the line. Still a couple of missed tackles, which cost us on the scoreboard.
