AKS U11s put in a determined performance at the Rossall Invitational Rugby Tournament, competing in the experienced tier against strong opposition.
The team started with three closely contested group games, each decided by just a single try in the closing minutes of play. Despite the narrow losses, AKS showed great resilience and competitiveness throughout, pushing their opponents in every match.
A fourth fixture against King’s Macclesfield saw further development, particularly in our defensive line and tackling. While we were ultimately beaten, the improvement in our structure was clear to see.
The final game against Birkenhead was where everything clicked. Playing with confidence, AKS produced an excellent display of high quality catch pass rugby, moving the ball with skill. It was a fantastic way to finish the tournament, showcasing the progress made across the day.
